We are a company of creative practitioners who collaborate across artforms to engage the public, educators and researchers.
We work in a variety of locations and spaces, responding to the specific qualities of each one.
We work collectively with others including: artists, ceramicists, poets, boatmen, librarians, graphic designers, photographers, film-makers, academics, musicians and archaeologists. We seek advice from specialists in different fields to increase our own knowledge. We forge different institutional partnerships to make things happen.
Co-Directors Duncan Hooson, artist and educator specialising in clay, Claire West, arts and crafts professional, and Julia Rowntree, writer and researcher, run Clayground and curate projects.
Our work is made possible through specialist freelancers, advisers, volunteers, teams of students (as above from Central Saint Martins). More information can be found on subsequent pages about Clayground Directors, Colleagues and Advisers we have worked with recently. You will find others in the Researchers and Supporters sections.
